October Exhibition: Portraits by Omar Zingaro-Bhatia

Omar Zingaro Bhatia is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. While in Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania, Romania) Omar made a series of small paintings that became illustrations for his first book entitled 'Refugees of Reality.'

Omars is primarily known for his painted portraits, a mixture of real and fictional characters. His degree show, 'Omar's Spuriosity Shop,' is currently shortlisted for the Catlin Art Prize and will be recreated for the presigious 'RSA New Contemporaries' exhibition in Edinburgh in March 2010. Omar's degree show was also selected in the top twenty in the UK by Art World Magazine.

His show at Che Camille runs until November 2nd and is a strong example of his work and is not to be missed.
