A Month of Shoes

Saturday brings the much anticipated club-night Ché Supermax, where all you lucky folk will be privy to a fashion show centred around SHOES! Like we could ever have enough pairs....

First up is the wonderfully stylish Kat Maconie, who's new collection genuinely embodies that phrase 'practical and stylish'. Reclaiming the flat shoe as a thing of beauty Maconie uses high-quality materials in a dreamy array of pink's, noir's and our personal favourite a delicious dusky mink shade. All teamed with a touch of hardware in the shape of her signature gold screw trims or jewellery inspired gold knots.

Perfect for both work and play as every shoe carries her signature 'mould to measure' insole, which have been specially created to support your feet in a way most flat shoes fail miserably to do. Ensuring you never have to limp home from the club with your shoes in hand avoiding the many Glasgowian puddles again....

We will also be showing Hetty Rose, an exciting bespoke footwear label, she re-works vintage materials in an incrediably creative and sustainable way. Hetty is known for her excellent artisanship and her interesting use of colour, creating striking, unique and feminine shoes for all. Previous collections harnessed the vibrancy of antique kimono fabric, creating standout heels for the adventurous lass who wanted to spice up that ol' little black dress.

While her new collection Keep & Love is more on the mellow side with sumptuous silvers, pale nudes and lilacs. Gorgeous in their use of colour and unusal trims - antique lace, vintage flower trinkets and mere touches of the famous kimono fabric. We can't wait to get our hands on Valentine (pictured above) - the petal shapes, it's silk ties, the lace heel detail and oh that shade silver like moonlight. Just looking at them makes us think of summer....Want to see how a Hetty Rose shoe is made click here...
